I am struggling in Math 10 (regular) and my teacher does little to help. Anyone know of somewhere (either a cheap braille book I can order, an e-text version somehow, or free or low-cost tutoring services) where I can get help on algebra or grigonometry? Or can one of you offer any tips? Thanks.
Excuse me if I'm telling you things you already know: but, web braille has some math books, and book share has even more. If you do a web search with google, using algebra or trigonometry you will get tons of results, and some of those will be online tutorials, and some of those will even be free.
Hope this helps a little.
Bob
I'm not much for the technology scene, but I am in college math and have loads of time on my hands and am currently fighting to rest my mind from the claws of severe and debilitating boardum. If I could help you with any math concepts I would be happy to do so. I want to go into music education, and any sort of help on an accademic level would be great to give. In a way you would be helping me. I am especially strong with Algebra, with Geometry being a close second.
Thank you both for the replies. Firstly thanks to blbobby
for the excellent tips, unfortunately I am in Canada and thus have no access to either Web Braille or Bookshare. And to LaMusiqueDuSoirTristeEtBelle, I love your offer--if you're bored, I'd love to put you to work. :- Maybe we can chat off-list or Skype each other or something...not entirely sure how we'll do this but thanks a lot. Maybe email me privately with a time or something.
I appologize. I should have checked your profile first. I have a one person war going against book share because they are not available to non us citizens, and they charge too much (in my opinion) for their service. Web Braille is understandable, however since they are run by the u.s. government. I'll see if I can find any other resources and post them here.
